SUMMARY:Milestone Leadership Luncheon Strengthens Alumni Community
DESCRIPTION:Our Honorary Advisor\, Mr. Gilbert Lee\, Executive Chairman\, Hang Seng Indexes; Vice-Chairman\, Hang Seng China; and Chief of Staff\, Hang Seng Bank\, recently hosted a milestone luncheon that\, for the first time\, brought together the School’s Honorary Advisors\, Governors and Executive Committee members. \nMore than a simple gathering\, the event served as a meaningful platform to exchange views\, deepen mutual understanding\, and\, most importantly\, align on the next chapter of the HKU Business School alumni community. \nIn his welcoming remarks\, Mr. Lee expressed his delight at seeing alumni from different programmes and cohorts come together\, underscoring the vibrancy\, diversity and growing momentum of the network. He also shared his aspiration to leverage both the Hang Seng Bank platform and the HKU Business School platform to nurture the next generation of business leaders\, strengthen the HKU alumni ecosystem\, and contribute to Hong Kong’s role as a leading international financial and knowledge hub. \nProfessor Hongbin Cai\, Dean of HKU Business School\, reiterated that the true strength of a great university lies in the vitality of its alumni community. With HKU deeply rooted in Hong Kong\, he encouraged the Hong Kong alumni chapter to leverage its unique position as a bridge between East and West\, amplifying the School’s impact locally\, regionally and globally. \nOur President\, Mr. Marvin Hung\, Vice Chairman of Hung’s Group and Executive Director & CEO of Hop Hing Group Holdings Limited\, shared upcoming initiatives and highlighted the collective responsibility of alumni in carrying forward the HKU legacy with pride\, purpose and commitment. \nThe luncheon marked an important step in strengthening collaboration between HKUBSAA and HKU Business School\, as both partners work together to build a more connected\, engaged and impactful alumni community. We look forward to welcoming alumni to a series of knowledge-sharing seminars\, exchange opportunities\, conferences and networking events in the months ahead.
